Oh wow there's so many reasons that this school is unique. A really cool fact about our school it's like in the center of LA, we're like at the very top. I love the community of the school I like it's just a small cozy environment All the kids know all the other teachers' names that have friends another process or siblings or their siblings' friends so it's nice to see that you know say hi to each other that is a family to call and everybody work together as a team to make sure that the kids most of that comes from various zip code, and they genuinely like each other when we first came onto this campus and walked around with the principal what was what was here I was blown away by The Greenery I have so much flowers for not what it used to be an orphanage many many years ago the owner sold it to an organization many years ago and organizations close to the district so it's actually the only School in LAUSD that just kind of landscape it was like different than any other school I've seen a lot more cement a lot more you know having to put planters out here if trees everywhere we have green everywhere we now have a beautiful native California Plants garden I want to drive up the hill that's what we can see in the morning I walk around I would probably look for squirrels because there's always squirrels somewhere in this part have an area where they can have yoga mats and a picnic and then there's another area that you can have your plate that's a little bit of running where their food comes from and there's seeing it grow over time and then they get to go out and pick it it's amazing you know they have lives can I have feelings too butternut squash music so there's all these different auxiliary courses that help them to expand and learning different ways I think that's what also buying with the kids is the do they have some of the nicest teachers it's a very nice diverse group of teachers that are strong they challenge their students and it's been it's been a very nice learning community I think the kids like that it's a small environment is cozy and the teachers are very personable I love the teachers they're just so kind and caring and when you're like feeling down to just positive energy feel comfortable to talk to teachers who are not their kids teachers at the moment and once again that comes from the energy that the teachers are given to the parents appreciate that and they feel welcome there what part of we have a good group of parents that are like partners partners with parents and they share what they would like to have it see in the school and I work with them and they work with me but who better than a parent to say this is my child we were delighted to have a wonderful community a beautiful group of parents having the PTO has allowed like a parent to become friends yeah it's really nice just pop into the parent Center whenever you want just like a very nice to have that community when you come to the event here in Mid-City you really feel like you're a part of the school 'cause it's such a beautiful space it's a great place to have people  during all of our events like this has been declared this month in Black History Month of all the kids get to watch each other and show each other our love for the year for Halloween for scary hello how everything was details you know it was meant for the kids like everybody participated I really like that before the kids in our school family at these events brings us together and that's what I love the most about this school is that was really as parents at the PTO as staff and teachers to really work together to bring that that fun and it's all about teamwork for me it's the quality of education the small class sizes is very important and also to feel the support I really do feel supported by the staff here as well there's so many layers to this little school it's complex what is beautifully complex and I love that about this if you're interested in a community private feel right in LA where that school we start with first grade and we go all the way it's a and then move on over to LACES they get to be with their friends not here just for years but transition over to the next milestone for next 7 years come on over, apply through echoices, and become a part of our family
